Established in 2011 Matthew and Nicole McDonald opened Matthew and Co Real Estate Ltd after spending 15 years selling all types of property throughout Taranaki. Matthew's father, Michael McDonald, his Grandfather Tom McDonald, and Great Grandfather Michael McDonald have all been involved in selling land for close to a century in Taranaki and that great service is still continuing today through the fourth generation.

When people describe something is 'in their blood' you have to think there must be history, and that is exactly what I have when it comes to Real Estate.

Growing up with Dad and Mum in the industry, both selling, provided a solid foundation for me to build upon to where I have come to now.  However, the real estate history goes further back through my Grandad Tom and Great Grandad Mick. My passion for sales started when accompanying my Dad around farms with clients as early as six years old; followed by a good grounding in the stock and station industry upon leaving school and prior to joining Dad in the business for several years before his retirement.

Now, coming up to twenty years selling farm and properties my wife Nicole and I have our children learning the trade at a young age. We love our industry and believe the future is bright.  We have a positive approach to life and business and consider this is the key to achieving results.  It is very hard to excel with a negative attitude.

Outside real estate our family is active in sports clubs and wider community groups such as Lions and Schools.

My belief that you should work hard, be honest and straight with people with no excuses has seen me sell farms successfully for the last twenty years.

Nicole McDonald

Gavin Howells

Having been born and lived his entire life in the district Gavin has a wide and in depth local knowledge.  He has served in the Stratford Volunteer Fire Brigade for 26 years, played rugby and spent many years on the local golf course. Gavin and his wife Irene also currently own and run the local service station and with their family have played a big part in the community across clubs, services and charities. Brendan Haami

Mathew Watt
